Wow, what a year this is turning out to be. Welcome to my new website! Finding 42 Book 1 Cut The Rope has been out for less than a year, and Book 2 is in the works for release around July. The audio for book 1 is in its final stages and will be released in May. It is a very exciting time in the cosmos for all things 42.
Me personally, Benny Mailman, I am still living in Siem Reap, Cambodia with my wife Vicheka. I have been here for 5 years now, with one visit to the United States to visit mom and dad in September of 2019. There are many things that I have become accustomed to here. There are no cell phone companies here like ATT and Verizon. Here you just buy these little cards or add minutes to your phone as you go, way more affordable. I have not worn socks in over 2 years, other than on the rare occasion I go to the gym. If you want to start a small business here, you can just start up. There are no liquor licenses here, so sell beer and coffee at the same time! No one fights or yells in public, unless they are a westerner. This culture is calm and quite polite. I will add in different things about Cambodia as I continue to blog.
Soon, I will start my podcast also, over on Buzz Sprout. I will keep you informed on that also.
We are currently under a province lock down, which really does not affect us that much. I am teaching my students online and from home, but other than that life remains pretty much the same. Scooter rides act as our mind-freeing daily rituals. Did you know that the scooter is the main form of transportation for the majority of Cambodians? My wife and I only have a scooter, no car.
